When the modem router indicates it's online but I can't access any web pages.

When this happens, the best thing to do before turning off your modem router and turning it back on, is to check if the computer itself is having DNS issues. To do this please follow the steps:

If you are running Windows:
1. Click Start
2. if you are on Windows XP then click Run and type cmd then ok button.
3. A command prompt will pop up (it's a black screen). In there type the following
ping 202.1.116.42
and then press the Enter key.

If you get a reply four times and the ping statistics says that you received 4 responses then it means that your computer is having DNS issues and you will need to contact a computer technician to resolve the problem. If you get a response that says that network is unreachable or just did not get 4 responses. Then please let us know.

If you are on a Mac:
1. Go into the application folder and open up Utilities folder
2. Open Terminal
3. type the following:
ping -c 4 202.1.116.42

As above responses.
